When I was a kid I used to have a copy of a book put out by Rolling Stone that gave thumbnail reviews of practically every mainstream rock, R&B, blues and (to a lesser extent) jazz album of the last twenty years or so. It was pretty much my bible, and it turned me onto albums that I didn't even know existed. Julian Cope's Krautrock and Japrocksamplers are going to be my two new music bibles and, most assuredly, some great forthedishwasher posts will be the fruit of Mr. Cope's musical knowledge.
