People may have not known who the hell Talking Heads were, but they knew Genius of Love, Wordy Rappinghood and Yella. Those songs were a cross-pollenation of CBGB, P-Funk and New York street music with its roots in Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Flash, and Afrika Bambaataa. Tom Tom Club was the shit.
