Seems it may be a hoax (http://www.allfacebook.com/chipotles-facebook-page-consumed-by-cat-controversy-2010-12), perpetrated by parties unknown?
I call BS. I read what she said in her status and how she commented. She has Facebook hooked up to her Android phone and I doubt she just ignored the notifications of people commenting and saying what they did. If someone were logged in as her at another location then she simply could have replied on her phone saying "Hey, that wasn't me, someone is hacking my account." If it were someone who picked up her phone and started writing that, well then that is really sick and messed up. Regardless, she never denied it until it got big.

...and this for everyone who suffers from the silly gaudy childish look of OS X and misses the clean elegance of OS 9 (it not necessarily the extension conflicts and the lousy task-threading).
1) The Classic Platinum Theme (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15581). Installable on OS X using either unsanity.com's ShapeShifter or Duality 4
2) X-Assist (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/10519) or ASM (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/10410) to give you an application switching menu in your menubar.
3) FruitMenu (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12974) to give you back an editable / customizable Apple Menu, to give you a hierarchical menu-view of System Prefs so you don't have to launch the entire %&## System Preferences pane and then reach with your mouse a second time to invoke the specific PrefsPane you want. And to use as a launcher.
4) WindowShade X (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12243), to be able to minimize windows the classic Macintosh way, not like some Windows PC-wannabe. (Will also minimize-in-place to a small icon)
5) PullTab (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18606), to pry that damn Dock's filthy hands off the keystoke combo Command-Tab, thus freeing it up for apps with original rights to it, like FileMaker Pro.
6) To get your Trash can onto the Desktop where it belongs, there are several apps that purport to be able to do so, but I prefer to just use TinkerTool to make everything visible in the Finder, then make an alias to .Trash and put the alias on the Desktop. Find a nice MacOS 9ish Trashcan icon on the internet and paste.
7) Now to dispense with the godforsaken Dock itself. Two choices: you can minimize it practically out of existence by pinning it to the left edge of your screen and then edit com.apple.dock.plist in a text editor, manually changing the tilesize parameter to 1, which will give you a Dock about the size of a pinhead in a place where you won't mouse-over on it very often by accident; or you can nuke it entirely. To nuke it entirely, first copy Dock.app from /System/Library/CoreServices and make that copy a startup item for every user account on your machine (towards the top of the list); then make an AppleScript consisting of tell application "Dock"; quit; end tell, save it as an application, and add that to your startup items (towards the end); then, finally, sudo rm the original Dock.app from within CoreServices. Just a quick question... I downloaded the SMP Intel version for my MacBook Pro, but I can't figure out how to pause it! Last night I did a ctrl-c (quit) and it closed out... but this morning it started all over! What on earth is the "pause" command?
(yes I know I don't need to stop it for most things, but I like to at night and while I study because of the extra noise it creates.)

A certain company is trying to shift product udpates away from major Expos. They've found that the lack of orders directly preceding an expo, as well as the expo dates not agreeing with major edu buying schedules have made this a bad idea.
You can expect to see new software releases at all Apple expos, and sometimes product introductions, but I think that will be it in the future.
This allows for a more consistent sales pattern, and keeps you guessing as to when updates arrive.

Thanks all for your reply. I will invest in getting the D90 with 18-55 kit lens and see about getting the 55-200 lens :)
Also joepunk, I didn't mean long term investment as in the money wise more as hopefully I shouldn't have any problem with the camera failing on me for any reasons and I need it send it back to Nikon for fixing.
I saw the D40 but I know I shouldn't think about mega pixels so much, but with 6mp I'm kind of looking for something more than the current point and shoot I have with 7mp. I think I've kind of have my heart set on the D90 now.

If the stick physically fits, then it won't cause harm.
At best, it'll work great, running the stick out of spec.
At worst, the PC won't boot with the 'wrong' stick in there.
Most likely (all this is assuming a 'wrong' stick,) it will boot, but will boot slower than you want. For example, if it has an 866MHz processor, it might only boot at 650Mhz. (Because, for example, it uses a 133Mhz bus, and you put 100Mhz RAM in, so it would run the processor at only a 100MHz bus, dropping it's speed accordingly.)
Or, with lots of motherboards, the processor speed and RAM speed were independent, so it would run just fine, but the memory would run at the 'lowest common denominator' speed. This is especially true of newer DDR motherboards.

Anyone able to get splashtop to work over 3g using a mac osx or windows vista. I can connect fine over wifi but i cannot get 3g to work. i opened the ports etc... i read the tutorials at splashtop 10x but i cannot get it to work :(
i am using fios with and actiontec wireless router.
any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Did someone see my post regarding the minor developers? This is worthy to note as the main ones are leaving the PPC realm, while literally 1000's of smaller and minor companies, such as wondershare and others are still making universal binaries for both intel and ppc - a win win if you ask me.

Especially people who need to work with people using Office 2007/2010 for Windows, or who happen to need Adobe CS5/5.5, Final Cut Studio 3 or Logic Pro 9 or a myriad of other Professional Applications just to get stuff done. Many people bring work home, and most of the key productivity software for Mac is now intel only. It doesn't matter about small developers as they don't control the blockbuster software, and most people need at least 1 Intel Mac as they are that much more up-to-date than PowerPC models.

None of those hard drives in my opinion. Get a Hitachi 500 GB 7200 rpm drive. Best bang for buck. It's quiet, fast, and reliable. There's a reason apple uses them and Toshiba over WD and Seagate. I've had bad experiences with the whole Scorpio line of hard drives. They were always loud and spun up and down at random intervals causing beachballs.
Thanks for the suggestion. It receives good reviews. However, I cannot find one for a good price. The best prices is $178. This is the problem with living in my country.
The reason why I posted those drives is because they are the only ones with non-exorbitant prices.

really weird and frustrating, huh. �240 (just under $400) for 8gb in the UK from crucial, or anywhere else i've seen. 4GB is merely 1/2 that.

Is this the one by Hudson too? They don't normally develop poo. Another game I wasn't planning on getting gets a bad score :o I wish they stuck this into a Wii- generation game (Wii Fly?), gave it a decent multiplayer and then it might have appeal.

I've recently noticed- some iLife apps are not working. The biggest concern is iPhoto - I've opened up iPhoto '11 (iLife 11) but it says:

I know we'll know for sure real soon, but I was just wondering if there's any expectation one way or the other regarding how likely the ipad2 will be jailbreak-able, either with the current apps or with current known but unused exploits.
way , way wayyyyyyyyyyy too early to tell, iPad2 is a whole new device, new processor, new firmware (with new drivers to support the new devices), new interfaces, new internal devices, most of drivers are going to be updated, HDMI out support, so all those changes mean that pretty much anything we curretnly have is pretty much useless, until someone can get their hands on it and on the 4.3 GM release, there isn't much work that can be done.

Well the cursor is not as fast as in Windows, but it's managable.
It means that the cursor movement is not linear to the mouse movement. Google it and you will see that it's a huge issue for people that want to game on their Macs, especially for Windows switchers that are not used to it. The worst part is that there is no setting in OS X to remove it.
Here are two images that illustrate it (from a 3rd party software that removes the acceleration)
