it is not all black and white, if your previous LCA covers the new work location, you should be fine, else a new LCA is required.

Yes you can.
My previous H-1B expired on 06/17 and I applied my AOS on July 2nd. After I sent the AOS, I got my H-1B approved for 3 years. My lawyer told me that they will have to send it in the future if there is an RFE.

That is one option but given that I am not on H1 and nor with the same employer - it may not be the way to go. This is something I am going to look into and have an attorney weigh in on. Thanks!
Since her H4 is tied to your being in status and not to which employer you are working for (she is your dependent) I would say she can safely travel on H4. I would recommend that she carry photocopies or originals of your 485 receipts, a photocopy of your passport with I94 (showing you are in the US) and a copy of your EAD card to show your status. I have never heard of dependents getting denied entry as long as they have a valid visa and can show that their spouse is in status. A change of status within the US is not considered as an impediment to your dependents who may travel on a dependent visa category that was last issued to the principal applicant.
My 50 cents (2 cents with inflation added in) Do let us know how this thing ultimately resolves.

Hello Core Members ,
We are seeing that some applications are being returned by USCIS mail room people , for improper fees and missing forms . This looks to be a very bit issue for people who have filed the cases , during July . Its possible that the filers may have made any mistake or this can be a mistake of Mail room People too due to huge volume of applications they have received . During Normal process every one had a fair chance of applying again with in the current month or many times even the preceding months. This is definitely not the case this time. If some case is rejected after Aug 17, they will not be able to file I 485 for Years . Can any of the core members suggest a way to contact the USCIS or DHS people and get some relief from this , and allow to re file the I 485 .

DMV stopped issuing DL based on EAD card in Virginia. I guess it will be same for TX and other states. You need original I485 receipt to get one year extensiton. EAD no more valid document for extension.

My attorney received a letter saying "Intent to Deny" reason being not having Mats in graduation.
I was in a similar situation.. not exaclty the same...
I had an approved I 140 and then I got the Notice of Intent To Deny, similar reason. This is what I did.
- I called my unversity and asked them to send me a detail syallbus of the courses I attended
- A letter from a third part evaluator
- An indetail letter from my HR as to what my courses where and how the courses pertain to my work.
- A detailed letter from the attorney.
looks like you do not have any thing to worry, if you took math courses and your syllabus states that then you should be ok. Make sure that you mention in very much detail and repetedly about the courses you took so that they wont miss it. Good luck I am certian you will be ok.

Anyone please advice if I need to get verified the PIMS check before my h1 visa interview at Kolkata, I have an appointment on 1st week of Jan2011.

My understanding is since nowadays to get an appointment we are required to fill online form (I guess it's called DS-160) which takes a lot of information about the applicant, the likelihood of PIMS delay etc. will be very less.
Good Luck with your VISA interview. Wear formals and be confident.:)

You need to trust your company lawyer. Apprise him of the entire situation and he will guide you on how to proceed. In my opinion, until you get a RFE, you wont have to do anything.
